Sirmans Mosquito Control District?
What you may not know is we do not have a District but rely on a County budget straining from many demands! We occasionally are served/sprayed if demands for help become to numerous to ignore. Well we for the most part understand, we are few and spread out, many live on private roads which the county will not serve so it’s up to us! We in Sirmans get that more than most!
So your Volunteer Firemen of Sirmans Volunteer Fire Department are seeking to start a community mosquito control district. We will not be part of the County system we will be stand alone depending on donations for chemicals and equipment!
We have a start! We have a older commercial sprayer, donated chemicals and firemen using their own personal money. For the time being we will limit our spraying to private property.

We are seeing wind gusts right now at 45mph. These will increase over the next few hours. Monitor weather conditions closely this afternoon/evening. Be prepared to take action should we go under a tornado warning. Expect downed trees and power lines with this event. Please stay off the roads when possible and be prepared should we experience significant power outages.
