Class #6 graduated today from the TIC program! 10 individuals will start off with the pay of $21.00 a hour. The opportunities are there, you have to be patient and willing to wait your turn. Also Valeria Castro who was career coached at Leland High School is the HR Assistant with TIC. Career Coaching works. Today is a great day at SDPDD.

RED,YELLOW,GREEN! It’s time to go! SDPDD Career Coaches were lead by two of their own Brigetta Foules-Sims and Hudson during Professional Development. This is putting boots on the ground when your own people can train their co-workers. Awesome job was done.

Career coaching continues to grow across Mississippi. This school year, 213 career coaches will serve students in 219 schools, including 11 new coaches supporting 14 additional schools.

By connecting students with career exploration and workforce opportunities, career coaches are preparing the next generation of Mississippi's workforce.

🏆 Clarksdale High School Students Shine at ACAP Summer Camp! 🏆

Career Coach Elicia Martin - Mosley of Clarksdale High School is proud to celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of our students at the Accelerate Career Awareness Program (ACAP) Summer Camp held at the University of Memphis.

From the application to the interview Career Coach Mosley provided hands-on assistance to students by helping them complete applications, prepare for interviews and navigate each phase of the ACAP Summer Program selection process.

Throughout the week, students participated in interactive workshops, leadership activities, and hands-on learning experiences focused on the world of accounting, business, and finance.
They collaborated with peers from across the region, developing valuable skills in teamwork, communication, critical thinking, and entrepreneurship.

The week concluded with students working in teams to develop and present a comprehensive business plan before a panel of judges.

We are excited to announce that the First Place Business Plan Competition was won by a team consisting of Clarksdale High School students!
Their innovation, creativity, professionalism, and presentation skills earned them the top honor among an outstanding group of participants.

As if that wasn't enough, we are especially proud to celebrate another remarkable achievement The 2026 ACAP Camper of the Year is a Clarksdale High School student (Jayla Peterson) This prestigious recognition is awarded to the camper who exemplifies leadership, character, academic excellence, teamwork, and a commitment to personal growth throughout the program.

These accomplishments reflect the incredible potential of our students and their willingness to embrace new opportunities and challenge themselves. We congratulate each participant for representing Clarksdale High School with excellence and making our school community proud.
