Any PCS teacher who is interested in going to Color of Education tomorrow, please IM Lori Collins. I have a free digital ticket. A teacher had family a situation that prevents them from attending. You have to provide your own transportation. First come, first serve.

48 of our Key BTs participated in our first day of training on Tuesday, Oct 17th. We focused on using our own personality type to communicate with others in True Colors, practiced different protocols to listen and talk, and brainstormed ways to promote and add to the Teacher Resource Google Drive. It was a great day with some creative, innovative, and effective teachers.

Partnerships like the one with PCAE help support early career teachers in some unique ways in Pitt County. This event was a good time to make connections in a different type of environment, to talk, to console, and to brainstorm some great ideas from some great educators. Plan to attend the next one in December.

Seth Brown, director of Pitt County Schools Educator Support and Leadership Development, left, chats with Elyse McRae, center, and Lauren Piner, right, during the first Beginning Teacher Social of the year at A.J. McMurphy's Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017.
