Two great employees!

We hope everyone had a safe and wonderful holiday season! With that being said, we wanted to announce our 2026 Employees of the Year, K-9 Hans and K-9 Ash!

K-9 Hans is a 4 year old German Shepherd. He is trained in tracking and accelerant detection. K9 Hans was hired by the Bridgeton fire Department in May of 2025 and is partnered with Deputy Chief Hitchner.

K-9 Ash is an 11 year old Catahoula Leopard Dog. He is trained in accelerant detection. K9 Ash was hired by the Bridgeton Fire Department in May of 2016 and is partnered with Investigator Snyder.

Both K9s have been utilized and successful in their job duties, not only in Bridgeton City but throughout the State of New Jersey. Without them, locating missing persons and conducting fire investigations would be more difficult.

Both of these good boys have been a major asset to our Fire Prevention Bureau. Whether it be from locating a missing person and assisting with fire investigations to giving their partners slobbery kisses, these boys always perform to the best of their ability. We are looking forward to another successful year with them on duty 🐾

🎄 Christmas came early for Greenwich Fire Department!
We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our new Kubota UTV, made possible through a generous grant. This versatile unit will enhance our capabilities during search and rescue operations and support many other emergency response needs.

A heartfelt thank you to all the individuals and organizations who helped make this acquisition possible. We’re fortunate to partner with so many dedicated groups that support our mission to keep the community safe!
