Stay weather aware. These storms will pop up fast, and they have the potential to be very strong. Have a plan for this evening if you are going to be outdoors.

As a reminder, Cass County now only sounds the sirens for new alerts. They do NOT sound for the all clear. If you hear it go off more than once, that means there is a new tornado warned weather event happening in our area and you should take shelter immediately.

Make a plan, be prepared. Stay safe friends!

The US National Weather Service Omaha/Valley Nebraska has issued a Tornado Qatch for much of Eastern Nebraska. This includes Cass, Saunders, and Lancaster counties.

Please be aware if you have outdoor activities planned for this evening, and the greatest potential for hazardous weather conditions appears to be from 4pm-11pm.

75+mph winds, large hail, and powerful tornados are a possibility this evening. Be prepared and have a plan.

Remember to always have two was to receive weather alrets so you can stay informed.

The chance of a tornado developing this evening has climbed in east-central Nebraska (Omaha/Council Bluffs/Lincoln/Wahoo).

A quick look at our history suggests this is the highest forecast probability of a tornado in the Omaha area since June 2014.

🌩 Spring is here, and it's coming in with a potential of severe weather this afternoon/evening.

Keep an eye on the sky today. And remember, always have more than one way to stay informed.

Strong to severe storms are expected to develop along a cold front this afternoon, impacting portions of eastern Nebraska and western Iowa. Expect a few strong/severe storms to develop initially before becoming a line as they move east.

We would like to take a moment to congratulate Tyler Vandeman and Matt Woodburn on successfully completing the NREMT. Tyler and Matt have been working diligently on this since January and have put in many long hours over those few weeks to get to this point. Between studying, class, trainings, meetings, calls, and just normal every day life, these guys made it work so they can continue to serve the community with the highest level of care we can offer. Congrats!!
