Here are some pics from the last couple of Manga Club events! The kids played a matching memory game for Pokemon chocolates and small prizes, ate pizza, watched anime, and hung out in the TV room.
We have an amazing Manga book collection especially for a library our size, and a great group of kids who are interested in reading them!

One of our Summer Reading projects was making Stegosauruses out of pipe cleaners with the age 7-13 age group. An intern led the demonstration and they kids did a great job with these! Afterward, readers got prizes for meeting one of their reading goals.

Summer reading ended August 6 but I'm going to be posting more of what we did this summer over the next few days. This was our June 24 age 0-6 event where the kids learned about color, clouds and weather.

Join us this Tuesday, Aug. 11 at 2pm for Adult Craft Club! This month we'll be doing scrap booking (I have a couple of binders but otherwise you can bring a book). We have: scrapbook scissors, letter stickers, punch outs, craft paper, drawing materials, and more. Please feel free to bring your own craft if you prefer--and use our materials for that craft, we have plenty!

Final Summer Reading ice cream & prize parties are this week!
Ages 0-6 will be Wed Aug 5 at 2:30pm
Ages 7-13 will be Thur Aug 6 at 3pm
We'll be giving out final big prizes and serving ice cream (or popsicles for the lactose intolerant).
