The Greenwood Police Department is incredibly grateful for Frank’s continued generosity and support of the men and women who serve our community. A message from Chief TJ Chaudoin:

A drug trafficker who chose to bring fentanyl into our community was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

This sentence sends a strong message: if you choose to traffic deadly drugs in Greenwood, there will be serious consequences.

Fentanyl is not just another illegal drug. It is an extremely powerful synthetic opioid—up to 50 times stronger than he**in and 100 times stronger than morphine—and illicit fentanyl continues to contribute to overdose deaths across this country.

Every bag of fentanyl sold on our streets has the potential to destroy a life and devastate a family. The men and women of the Greenwood Police Department see firsthand the damage these drugs cause, and we will continue to aggressively investigate those who profit from addiction and put the lives of others at risk.

A 25-year sentence represents more than an individual being held accountable. It means one less drug trafficker on the streets of Greenwood, and it demonstrates what can be accomplished when law enforcement, prosecutors, and our community work together.

I want to personally thank the officers, investigators, prosecutors, and everyone involved in this case. These investigations require countless hours of work, and their dedication helped ensure that a dangerous drug trafficker was held accountable.

To those who choose to sell fentanyl and other dangerous drugs in Greenwood: we will continue to find you, investigate you, arrest you, and work with our prosecutors to hold you accountable.

Our mission is simple: protect our community, protect our families, and make Greenwood a safer place to live.

GREENWOOD, S.C.; August 25, 2026 — A Greenwood man will spend the next 25 years in prison after a Greenwood County jury convicted him Tuesday on fentanyl trafficking and fi****ms charges, 8th Circuit Solicitor David M. Stumbo announced Wednesday.

Help us give a warm welcome to Officer Ethan White, the newest member of the Greenwood Police Department!

Officer White graduated from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy on Friday, marking an exciting milestone as he begins his law enforcement career. Yesterday, he worked his first shift with Team Bravo, officially beginning the next phase of his journey through our Police Officer Training Program.

We’re proud to have Officer White join our team and look forward to watching him grow and serve the Greenwood community.
