🚒 Congratulations to Bryson Rowe , our 2025 Firefighter of the Year! 🚒

Firefighter of the Year is a special honor within our department, voted on annually by our members. This year, Bryson was selected in recognition of his dedication, commitment, and service to Northwest.

Since joining the department approximately a year and a half ago, Bryson has attended nearly every training, consistently supported our community events, and earned his Firefighter II certification. His strong work ethic and passion for service truly set him apart.

Congratulations, Bryson! We are proud to have you as part of Northwest and look forward to seeing all that you accomplish in the years ahead.

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of one of our own.

Firefighter Dakota “D-Rev” Revels
will be remembered not only for bravery on the fireground, but also for the infectious smile and camaraderie he brought to our department family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones during this difficult time. Rest easy, brother— we'll take it from here.

This afternoon, the Northwest Volunteer Fire Department was honored to receive an award from Fire Safe South Carolina in recognition of our department’s efforts during our first year in the program. This achievement reflects the dedication and hard work of our volunteers, who strive every day to keep our community safe.

The Fire Safe South Carolina program focuses on reducing fire-related injuries by decreasing risks for both residents and firefighters. It promotes consistent fire safety messaging and emphasizes the importance of accurate fire scene data.

We are committed to continuing this important work and earning this recognition for years to come. As part of our ongoing fire prevention efforts, we offer free smoke detectors to residents within our district. If you are in need of one, please don’t hesitate to contact us—we’re happy to visit your home to install detectors and provide guidance on how to reduce fire hazards.

Thank you to our volunteers and our community for your continued support in helping us achieve this milestone.
