Congratulations to Greer's 8U Softball All-Stars Team for bringing home the State Championship!!

The mayor and City Council honored a tiny but mighty state championship team at last night's meeting.

Members of Greer's 8U softball all-stars team, their families, and coaches packed Council chambers. After posing for pictures with leaders from the City of Greer Parks, Recreation & Tourism team, the mayor sent the champs home to hit the books!

One of the Southeast’s oldest Native American communities is providing an immersive cultural experience in Greer this weekend.

The free event at the Center for the Arts will feature storytelling, traditional dance, drumming, and live demonstrations by members of the Catawba Nation.

Interactive activities for all ages will provide a window into the rich history, living traditions, and vibrant culture of the “People of the River.”

📍When: Saturday, August 22 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
📍Where: INDOORS at Edward R. Driggers Center for the Arts, 804 Trade St., Greer
📍What: An opportunity to learn and immerse yourself in Native American culture

Next Saturday, August 22, from 1:00–4:00 PM: Step into the rich history, traditions, and culture of the Catawba Nation during this special family-friendly afternoon at the Center for the Arts!
