Today, on Peace Officers Memorial Day, we honor and remember the brave men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice while carrying out the oath they swore to uphold. Their courage, service, and dedication to protecting others will never be forgotten.

This week has been especially difficult as loss has hit close to home within neighboring agencies. The Greer Police Department extends our sincere condolences to the Greenwood Police Department and the Greenville Police Department as they grieve during this time of loss. Our thoughts and prayers remain with the officers, families, friends, and communities affected.

We are grateful for the hard work, sacrifice, and dedication our officers at the Greer Police Department carry out each and every day in service to our community.

Today, and every day, we remember the fallen and honor those who continue to serve.
