It is with profound sadness that we honor the life and sacrifice of Officer Trevor Howard of the Marked Tree Police Department, who lost his life in a motor vehicle crash while serving the citizens of Marked Tree early this morning.

Today, we stand with Officer Howard’s family, friends, brothers and sisters in blue, and the entire Marked Tree community as we grieve this heartbreaking loss.

We ask everyone to keep his loved ones and the members of the Marked Tree Police Department in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Today, our hearts are with the members of the Marked Tree Police Department, the family, friends, and loved ones of Officer Trevor Howard, and the entire community of Marked Tree as they mourn this unimaginable loss.

We stand beside our brothers and sisters in blue during this time of grief and extend our deepest condolences. May the memory of Officer Trevor Howard's service, courage, and commitment to protecting others continue to inspire all who wear the badge.

🚨 Attention! 🚨
The Greers Ferry Police Department is investigating a series of vehicle break-ins and thefts that occurred in the Higden and Narrows Park areas during the overnight hours of Monday, June 15, 2026, between approximately 11:30 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. and is requesting the public's assistance.

At least three confirmed unlocked vehicles were unlawfully entered during this time frame, and there may be more who have yet to come forward. Cash and fi****ms have been reported stolen.

If you live in the affected area and have security camera footage from the night of June 15th that may show suspicious persons, vehicles, or activity, or if you have any information that could assist investigators, please contact the Greers Ferry Police Department at:
