National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Gregory County until 11pm. Expect rain and winds up to 70 mph. We are still under a tornado watch until midnight.

Good evening, we have a citizen that is missing his bike (pictured below) if seen anywhere in town please contact the PD 605-835-9638 so we can return the bike to the owner. Thank you

The Street Department has been out putting orange cones in the man holes on the roads so people can see them and don’t hit them with their cars. Somebody has taken a few road cones and we would like them back. Feel free to leave them either in front of the PD or the Street Dept building. Those cones are $80 a piece, and we will prosecute.

For tomorrow..

Please do not cross any caution tape or drive around any barriers tomorrow during the demolition of the elevator. Main street will be closed from hwy 18 to 2nd St and 1st St will be closed from Main to Spencer.
