Ms. Coker’s biology students took hands-on learning to a whole new level last week! To master the structures of plant and animal cells, our students traded standard diagrams for pipe cleaners, popsicle sticks, recycled crafts, and plenty of sweet treats.
From jellybean mitochondria to sprinkles as ribosomes, these 3D cell models are proof that science and creativity go hand in hand.
Students didn't just build these models—they stepped up to explain the vital role each organelle plays, proving that plant cell walls and giant vacuoles aren't so intimidating when you build them yourself.
