Oregon Concerns of Police Survivors

Oregon Concerns of Police Survivors This group is for Oregon survivors of LODDs, giving information on chapter events. Our chapter of COPS is entirely volunteer-driven with NO paid staff.

As survivors of law enforcement line of duty death, our mission is to assist other survivors of LODD. Oregon Concerns of Police Survivors, Inc. (Oregon C.O.P.S.) provides resources to assist in the rebuilding of the lives of surviving families and affected co-workers of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty as determined by Federal criteria. Furthermore, Oregon C.O.P.S. provides trai

ning to law enforcement agencies on survivor victimization issues and educates the public of the need to support the law enforcement profession and its survivors. Funding from outside sources enables Oregon C.O.P.S to offer survivors professional help through meetings, training for those survivors who are ready to actively support new survivors, family workshops, and training to law enforcement departments on how to handle a line-of-duty death. Unfortunately, many departments have no protocol on what to do when the tragedy of an officer’s death strikes. In these instances, it is harder for the agency to help the surviving families and affected co-workers get through what could be the most difficult crisis of their lives.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to others. 🇺🇸💙

For many families, “Never Forget” is more than a phrase — it’s a promise. A promise that the lives, service, and sacrifice of our fallen heroes will continue to be honored and remembered.

At Concerns of Police Survivors, we carry that promise with us every day as we stand beside surviving families and co-workers.

Today, we’d like to ask:
What does “Never Forget” mean to you? 💙🖤
