The Emergency Management Department is primarily responsible for coordinating the planning and response of emergency situations affecting the Menominee Tribe/Menominee County and its residents. EM staff has two full time employees the Coordinator and Safety Specialist with both of the offices located in the Public Safety Building at N2169 White Cedar in Middle Village.

09/3/2026 3:59 AM A round of strong/severe storms is possible this morning along and south of Highway 29. Another round or two of strong or severe storms is possible late this afternoon into early Friday morning. Main impacts include wind gusts 60 to 70 mph, with secondary hazards of hail up to 1.75 inches, an isolated tornado, and locally heavy rain. Though confidence is high that storms will be around, confidence is lower in timing and severity, so make sure to stay tuned to later forecasts.

[8/25/26 9:05 AM] The risk of severe weather (Level 1 out of 5) has shifted eastward into portions of north-central and central WI late this afternoon and evening. Wind gusts to 60 mph and hail up to 1" in diameter are possible with the strongest storms. Locally heavy rainfall is also possible.

[8/21/26 1:50 AM] A few storms this morning, then isolated to scattered storms expected to redevelop this afternoon with the highest severe risk between 3-9 PM. Severe storms may bring wind gusts to 60 mph, hail up to one inch, and heavy rain. A tornado is also possible. Have quick access to shelter and multiple ways to receive warnings if outdoors.

[8/20/26 5 AM] Chances for showers/storms increase from west to east this afternoon into tonight and continue at times into Saturday afternoon, but most periods will stay dry. Sunday will be dry & less humid. Highs will be mainly in the 70s to low 80s.

[8/19/26 2 PM] Mostly clear skies and dry conditions are expected tonight. Chances for showers/storms increase Thursday afternoon/evening and continue into Friday, but most periods will stay dry. There is a chance for showers/storms in the afternoon on Saturday then Sunday will be dry and less humid. Highs will be mainly in the mid 70s to low 80s.

{Aug 12, 2026 445 AM} A weak cold front brings a 10 to 20 percent chance of showers and isolated strong storms today, with highs in the upper 70s to mid 80s. Chances for showers and storms have increased for Thursday, but Friday still looks dry. The weekend will have likely showers and thunderstorms and there may be heavy rain at times.
