Yesterday at the 2025 Annual G.R.I.D. Crawfish Cookoff, we were reminded of what truly makes our community special — the spirit of friendship, family, and service that brings us together.

Over 30 years ago, when my wife and I started our family, we made a commitment to serve our community. We wanted to work alongside others to make our community the best possible place to raise our family — and for our friends to raise theirs.

That commitment led me to a career in public service. It carried me from the humble beginnings of Gretna Fest, to the Gretna City Council, to the halls of our State Capitol, to the chambers of our Parish Council, and through countless events, projects, and initiatives that have invested over $1 billion into improving our community’s quality of life and public safety.

While I am disheartened by the results of this past election, I am at peace knowing how much we have accomplished, and I remain immensely grateful for the trust you have placed in me. Serving the people and communities that I love has truly been the greatest honor of my life.

Thank you to everyone who put a sign in their yard, made a phone call, knocked on a door, and contributed to our mission. Your support means more to me than words can express, and I can never thank you enough.

I also want to take a moment to congratulate my opponents who advanced to the next step of this race. I pray that God grants the final victor the wisdom and grace to unite our community and continue the work to which I have dedicated my life.

Rest assured, my family and I will NEVER stop fighting for the betterment of the Westbank and Jefferson Parish. I WILL NOT — WE WILL NOT — stop advocating for and serving our community.

Just yesterday, Team Templet had a blast participating in the 2025 G.R.I.D. Crawfish Cook-off. Congratulations to all of the teams who placed, and thank you to everyone who came out to support such a great event. Moments like these reaffirm that the future of our community is bright, because our people are strong, dedicated, and full of heart.

No matter what God has in store for us, we each have a role to play in our community’s success. Together, we can continue to achieve great things.

With gratitude, love, and respect — thank you all.

God bless you and our community.

In the race to represent District 1 on the Jefferson Parish Council, my energy, experience, and efficient leadership are unmatched.

Voting to return me to the Jefferson Parish Council means progress for the people of District 1.

I'm proud of what I've already accomplished:

-Secured over $1 billion in improvements to roads, drainage and levee protection
-Created the West Bank Major Crimes Task Force
-Modernized government to speed commerce
-Paved the way for a new Avondale
-Created more than 2,000 permanent jobs
-Transformed Terry Parkway to improve property values
-Upgraded our parks and transformed our sports fields

As Councilman for District 1 in Jefferson Parish, I will propose creating the Parish Homeowner Protection and Self-Insurance Pilot Program. The program would allow homeowners to access low-interest loans to fund affordable insurance that is backed by the parish's $100 million in surplus funds. My proactive leadership can help lighten the heavy burden that today's homeowner is shouldering.

The Terrytown Revitalization Pilot Program has been a success, so why not expand it? I'm committed to community revitalization for every neighborhood in Jefferson Parish and have plans to get us there!

My proposals include several tax incentives and grants for new homes and renovations that improve the beauty of our aging housing stock.

We all love the natural beauty of our parish, let's work together to ensure our homes look good, too!

Building up the real estate and property values in Jefferson Parish continues to be one of my priorities, as evidenced by the endorsement of two organizations committed to homes in our region, the Homebuilders Association of Greater New Orleans and the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Realtors.

From beautification efforts to the pilot home program, and so much more, these organizations know I have the record of delivering on critical policy to keep Jefferson Parish homeowners happy!

Skyrocketing insurance rates are forcing people to make hard choices. We can’t keep waiting on insurance companies to fix it - we need bold, local solutions.

That’s why I’m proposing utilizing $100 million from the parish surplus fund to create a Self-Insured Loan Savings Account pilot program to help lower costs and keep families in their homes. I’m also exploring options like a property tax exemption for homeowners who fortify their homes — in addition to the fortified roof program, to reward smart investments in safety and resilience.

This is about making homeownership affordable again—and making sure the next generation can build a future right here at home.

Election Day is this Saturday, March 29. I’d be honored to have your vote.

Let’s move Jefferson Parish forward—together.
