📣 GCF Grant Applications Open September 1!

The Gretna Community Foundation is excited to kick off our 2026 grant cycle and continue supporting organizations making a difference right here in our community. 💛

Applications will be accepted September 1 through November 15, 2026.

✨ Grants up to $5,000
✨ Open to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations
✨ Funds must support services within the City of Gretna or Gretna School District
✨ Grants awarded in early January 2027

💚 Exciting news for Gretna!
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors and the pledges we’ve received, we’ve reached the fundraising milestone needed to qualify for the $150,000 matching grant for the Gretna Splash Pad! This means our community is one step closer to bringing this exciting new amenity to Peterson Park for families to enjoy next year.

Thank you to every donor, volunteer, sponsor, and supporter who helped make this possible. Together, we’re creating something special for generations of Gretna families.💚💦

For generations, Peterson Park was where memories were made. Now, we have a chance to bring that spirit back!

Thanks to a $150,000 Challenge Grant, every dollar donated toward Gretna’s new interactive water feature will be matched up to that amount.

🎆 Our Biggest Fundraiser of the Year Opens Tomorrow! 🎆

The Gretna Community Foundation Fireworks Tent opens June 25, and we’d love your support!

This is our largest fundraiser of the year, helping us continue our mission of supporting projects, programs, and organizations that make Gretna a stronger community. Combined with the generosity of our donors and supporters throughout the year, the Foundation awarded more than $29,000 in grants last year.

When you purchase your fireworks from our tent, you’re helping us continue that impact right here in Gretna.

✨ Celebrating Impact in Gretna ✨

In January, the Gretna Community Foundation proudly awarded over $29,000 to local organizations during our 2025 Grant Cycle, our largest annual giving to date.

These incredible recipients are making a meaningful difference right here in our community:

• Region V Foundation dba Apace Foundation
• Dreamweaver Foundation
• Gretna Friends of the Library
• Gretna Public Library Foundation
• Gretna Neighbors Food Pantry
• Heartland Equine Therapeutic Riding Academy Inc
• Spirit Horse Ranch Inc
• YMCA of Greater Omaha
• Omaha Youth for Christ

Together, these organizations are supporting families, expanding access to resources, and strengthening the Gretna community in meaningful ways.

Since 2016, the Gretna Community Foundation has awarded over $109,000 in grants, and we are honored to continue investing in programs and organizations that make a lasting impact.
