A school year in Ethiopia came to a close with more than lessons learned: it was marked by generosity.

Students, families, teachers, and staff came together to bless vulnerable families with essential supplies, including cooking oil. It’s a beautiful picture of how God can use what we have, big or small, to meet a need and reflect His love to others.

We’re grateful for a community that is learning not only how to grow, but how to give.

“This process showed us that family is worth fighting for and that God will provide in ways we sometimes least expect. In our case, that provision came through a call at 4 p.m. on a Thursday and the joy of our life at 12 p.m. that Saturday. We are forever grateful for everyone who helped make our adoption story possible.”

They told Iulian he was “too problematic” and that he wouldn’t make it.

He grew up in a residential institution in Moldova, carrying the trauma of losing his mother, going without enough food, and feeling like a child “stuck in a cage.” But during a Christian camp, Iulian experienced something he had rarely known: safety, love, and belonging.

That small glimpse of Jesus changed the trajectory of his life. Years later, the boy who once needed someone to notice him became a camp leader, mentor, and encourager to other orphaned and vulnerable children.

Iulian’s story is a reminder that a child’s circumstances do not have to determine their future. When children are known, loved, discipled, and given opportunities to lead, God can use their lives to impact generations.

Sometimes, dignity is found in the smallest details.

At Village of Hope in Guatemala, children aren’t simply handed donated clothing, they’re invited to choose what they like, giving them a voice in something that belongs to them.

For Maya, that simple moment was a reminder that she matters, her choices matter, and she is made in the image of God.

Through holistic care, we have the opportunity to provide more than basic needs—we can help children experience dignity, healing, and hope.

Sometimes, what feels impossible on paper is exactly where we get to see God provide.

For the Pleschourt family, the cost of adoption felt out of reach after years of longing to grow their family. Through Lifesong’s matching grants, the generosity of their community, and God’s faithful provision, they were able to bring their children home through adoption without taking on debt.

Their story is a beautiful reminder that God does impossible math, and He can use the generosity of His people to make a way where there seems to be none.

The little girl who once needed someone to believe in her is now the one believing in others.

After graduating from Lifesong, Dyness returned to serve the students who remind her of her younger self. God transformed her story of loss into a story of leadership, compassion, and hope.

Lucson’s story is one of steadfast faith and perseverance. From receiving an education to earning a university degree, facing deep loss and hardship, and now helping provide opportunities for his family, he continues to trust God and move forward.

His journey reminds us that transformation takes time. Through education, employment, discipleship, and community, God has continued to work in Lucson’s life, preparing him not only for his own future but to impact the lives of those around him.

God doesn’t call us to something without also giving us what we need to walk it out.

When He gives you a purpose, He gives you the strength, grace, and power to fulfill it. Even when the road feels uncertain or the task feels too big, we can trust that His power is greater than our limitations.

You are called. You are equipped. And through God’s strength, you can faithfully walk out the purpose He has given you.
