Due to the significant weather event, the State Court of Spalding County arraignment calendar scheduled for tomorrow morning, March 16, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. will begin one hour late at 10:00 a.m.

The Griffin Spalding County School System and most surrounding school systems are also delaying their start until 10:00 a.m.

In addition, Spalding County has announced a delayed opening at 9:00 a.m.

Please share this message immediately to help ensure everyone be informed.

This notice applies only to the State Court of Spalding County.

The other Spalding County courts; Superior, Magistrate, Probate, and Juvenile will each make their own independent decisions.

No bench warrants will be issued in State Court tomorrow.

Anyone who misses their arraignment tomorrow will have their case automatically reset to a new court date and will be notified by mail.

Everyone please be safe tomorrow morning and drive carefully.

Spalding County will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, January 22, 2025 due to inclement weather.

If you are scheduled to appear in the Spalding County State Court tomorrow for an Administrative Hearing for your School Speed Citation at 9:00am or School Bus Citation at 1:30pm, your case has been reset to the same time on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.

In addition to this notice, the Spalding County Sheriff's Office is preparing a similar post, and (of course) official notices will be mailed out to everyone informing them officially of their new court dates.

The Spalding County State Court Jury Trials will begin 1 hour late this morning at 10:00am.

Again, because of the significant storms, the Spalding County State Court Jury Trials that were scheduled to begin this morning at 9am, will begin 1 hour late at 10am.
