Griffin-Spalding County School System (GSCS) is so very thankful for all of our Partners in Education. So many businesses and organizations help provide opportunities and experiences for our students and teachers. Our district partners that each contribute in excess of $10,000 in value to help students are: Brightmoor, Chick-fil-A, Dairy Queen, First National Bank, Georgia Banking Company, Marco's Pizza, Piedmont Fayette Hospital and United Bank. Thank you! Many others support the REACH and similar scholarships, individual schools, fine arts, athletics, and more. Some, like Norcom, provide school supplies. Some take part in the Partners in Education Fundraiser Golf Tournament (Sept 25 this year). Others serve as mentors and reading tutors for students. Community churches host events, volunteer at schools and pray for our students and staff. Thank you Griffin and Spalding for supporting our future through public education. We need you and we appreciate you!

Spalding United is the acting organization for youth recreation basketball in Spalding County.

GSCS is grateful for wonderful Partners in Education! One of our major district level partners, United Bank, made check presentation this week. Their donations help support the athletic programs at both high schools, the college and career academy, and they provide field trip scholarships and classroom grants through the Griffin-Spalding Partners in Education foundation. GSCS principals were celebrated today for their attendance efforts during the 2025-26 school year. Congratulations to Crescent Elementary for having the lowest absences in the district! Congratulations to Carver Road Middle for having the largest decrease in absences from the previous year! Congratulations to Beaverbrook, Futral Road, Jackson Road and Crescent Elementary for being below the state average in absences!
