On May 26, the GSCS Board of Education approved the superintendent’s recommendation to appoint Dr. Stephanie Nash as the 2026-27 principal of Jordan Hill Elementary School.

Dr. Nash has been in public education for nearly three decades. She joins GSCS from Lamar County Schools, where she served as the assistant principal and pre-k director of Lamar County Primary School for 10 years. Before that role, Dr. Nash served as an assistant principal for Crisp and Morgan County Schools. READ MORE: https://aptg.co/mtLYDs

Dr. Chad Chisolm Named Principal at Moore Elementary. On May 26, the Griffin-Spalding County School System (GSCS) Board of Education approved the superintendent’s recommendation to appoint Dr. Chad Chisolm as the principal of Moore Elementary School. Dr. Chisolm brings nearly two decades of experience in school administration, curriculum development and leadership to Moore Elementary. He most recently served as a GSCS School Improvement Coordinator, where he provided instructional leadership focused on supporting teachers and student achievement. Dr. Chisolm began his career in education as a paraprofessional with Atlanta Public Schools. He then served as a teacher with Atlanta Public Schools and Henry County Schools, as an instructional coach with Clayton County Schools and as a building administrator with Butts and Henry County Schools.
