💡STEM SPOTLIGHT💡
Lots of hands-on learning is occurring in the STEM lab this week as our 3rd graders learn about rocks, soil and erosion. Students observed and then sorted rocks according to their physical characteristics. They modeled weathering, erosion and deposition of rocks. They also tested different soil samples for their ability to retain water. 🪨💦🔎

Cheerleading tryouts are coming up soon! Tryouts will be open to our 3rd, 4th, & 5th graders who have good grades, great behavior and lots of school spirit! Please see the flyer for specific dates. Parents must complete the form that was sent home and return it to Ms. Willis by September 8th. 🦅📣

All month long our school, along with GSCS, will be collecting can goods and non-perishable food items to help benefit Manna From Above Inc. - Community Outreach. We will have a collection box in the front lobby of the school if you are willing to donate to this cause.

September is Hunger Action Month! Join our Annual Canned Food Drive benefiting Manna From Above Inc. – Community Outreach & Food Pantry.

All month long, students and families can donate canned goods or non-perishable food items at their school. We are excited to partner with The Griffin-Spalding County School System, Griffin GA for this event. Collection boxes are located in school lobbies; or you can ask your child’s teacher for the drop-off location.

🚗 Community Drop-Off:
Donate at Commercial Vehicle Center of Speedway Ford on North Expressway through the Commercial Department.

Every donation helps local families facing hunger. Gather your items, invite others to join, and help us fill every box this September! 🥫🥫🥫

As August comes to a close, we would like to wish a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY🎈🎉 to all of our students who celebrated their birthday during the month of August! Students received a special shout-out on the morning news show on the actual day of their birthday. Students were also able to select a free book for their birthday. 📖
