The GPSC encourages experienced and novice sailors, boaters, and enthusiasts to experience racing, camaraderie and other activities, while promoting safe navigation, good seamanship and lots of fun. The Grosse Pointe Sail Club was founded in 1948 when the City of Grosse Pointe Park invited a dozen sailing enthusiasts to establish a sailing club at the city’s Windmill Pointe Park.

Our next GPSC board meeting is this coming Monday October 12th at 7:pm, and will be held at the Tompkins Center at Windmill Pointe Park, Grosse Pointe Park. (Feel free to park in the drive (pull all the way up)

Committee Chairs, if you cannot attend, please send your report to the appropriate bridge member. (Rear Commodore, Vice Commodore and Commodore)

All GPSC members are welcome. Light snacks and beverages will be served.

While this doesn’t represent all of our racing this year, here are just some of the winners who will be taking home one—or several—of the nearly 100 flags being awarded at our November 6th Awards Party! Recognize a name? Tag them in the comments!

These results include winners from the Spring and Summer Sundown Series, the Lady Meggan Challenge, and the Peche Island–Detroit River Classic.

Not pictured here are the winners from our Annual Regatta, along with the winners still to be decided at the upcoming Frostbite Race!

As the racing season approaches its conclusion, we want to make sure you have two upcoming celebrations on your calendars!

**Final Race Party – Tuesday, September 22**

Our traditional end-of-season race party has a slight change of venue this year. Following the final Sundown Series race on Tuesday, September 22, we'll gather at Windmill Pointe Park to celebrate the conclusion of another great racing season.

Free pizza and refreshments will be served. We hope to see everyone there!

**Annual Awards Party – Friday, November 6**

Although this date has been published in the race documents since late March, we want to remind everyone that our Annual Awards Party will take place on Friday, November 6.

All podium finishers and their crews from any GPSC event will be invited to celebrate, including those who placed in the Sundown Series, Annual Regatta, Peche Island–Detroit River Classic, and our club races.

More details about the awards party will follow as the date approaches, but please mark your calendars now.

We look forward to celebrating another great season of racing with all of you!
