🌊 GPSC Family Picnic & Lady Meggan Challenge Race 🌊
Today — Sunday, August 23, 2026!
Good morning, GPSC members! ⚓️
Today is our annual GPSC Family Picnic & Lady Meggan Challenge, and we’d love to see you on the water—and at the picnic! We already have five boats registered, but there’s still time to join the fleet.
🏆 Lady Meggan Challenge — JAM Race
⏰ Start: 11:00 AM
The Lady Meggan Challenge Cup is one of the Grosse Pointe Sail Club’s most treasured traditions. Formerly known for decades as the Ladies’ Race, this event celebrates the women who sail, race, and lead in our sport. It’s a great opportunity to get out on the water with friends and family, whether you’re a regular racer or just want to join the fun!
🍔 GPSC Family Picnic
⏰ Lunch around 2:00 PM
📍 Windmill Pointe Park — near Docks 3 & 4
The Club will provide:
🍔 Burgers
🌭 Hot dogs
🥔 Chips
🥤 Drinks
And Commodore Wixson will be bringing his award-winning homemade mac & cheese! 😋
Everyone is invited to bring a dish to share—appetizers, sides, desserts, or another main course. Anything goes!
Not racing? No problem! Come down for the picnic, bring the family and a dish to share, and enjoy an afternoon of great food, good friends, and one of our favorite GPSC traditions. ❤️⛵️
We hope to see a great turnout tomorrow on the water and at the picnic!
