Due to unforeseen circumstances, today’s Lake Front Park bus service will end after the 3:30 p.m. pick-up. There will be no 4 p.m. drop-off or 4:30 p.m. pick-up today, Friday, August 7, 2026

Today is the last day of the Lake Front Park bus route for the 2026 season. We thank you for utilizing this service.

Wayne County Construction Advisory:
Mack Avenue Construction Starting Monday, August 10

Wayne County has announced that Mack Avenue from Cook Road to Base Line/Eight Mile Road will undergo resurfacing and repairs beginning Monday, August 10, with substantial completion expected in late Fall 2026, weather permitting.

During construction, expect lane closures, traffic delays, and intermittent access restrictions. Property access and emergency vehicle access will be maintained, though brief interruptions may occur.

Residents/property owners should:

1. Place garbage, recycling, and yard waste bins at the curb on collection day as usual.

2. Mark sprinkler systems and other private underground utilities by August 10 to avoid damage. Unmarked systems damaged during construction will not be replaced.

3. Be aware that unauthorized items within the road right-of-way (such as pavement extensions, boulders, or gravel) may be removed and replaced with sod.

Due to reduced staff availability during the last few weeks of the season (as lifeguards return to school and school-related activities), the Aquatic Facility hours may be shortened. Any changes made to hours at the Aquatic Facility (including pool, baby pool, slide, and Splash Pad) will be posted on the website and page. Please check the hours before visiting the Aquatic Facility! Thank you for your understanding.
