On Tuesday, August 19, The Maritime Academy of Toledo had a special visit from CDR Michael Majewski, commanding officer USS Toledo and six of his crew members. CDR Majewski is the uncle of Gage Whitenburg, a 9th grade cadet at The Maritime Academy. Gage took his uncle and the crew members on a tour of the school which included a stop at the Bridge Simulator and Radar Simulator classrooms. CDR Majewski and his crew also met with the Leadership Corps cadets and some parents who stopped in. The visit lasted for more than two hours. CDR Majewski also presented a plaque for the support The Maritime Academy has shown USS Toledo. Here are some pictures of the visit.
