The Boutwell Early Childhood Center is part of the Groton-Dunstable Regional School District. Half day and full day enrollment options are available for children ages 3-5 living in Groton and Dunstable. The Boutwell curriculum is aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks for Pre-Kindergarten. Early mathematics, language, literacy, social and emotional regulation skills are embedded acro

ss all curriculum areas. Boutwell students are supported by a highly qualified staff made up of teachers certified by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in Early Childhood and Special Education, related service professionals, and skilled paraprofessionals. All teachers and service providers have completed a minimum of a Master’s degree in early childhood, special education, or their area of specialty. Services are provided for young children (aged 3-5) with identified disabilities who need specially designed instruction or related services, and whose disability(ies) causes the children to be unable to participate in developmentally appropriate typical preschool activities. Children with a suspected disability may be referred for a special education evaluation by a parent, doctor, Early Intervention program, teacher, daycare provider or other individual familiar with the child. The Boutwell also provides screenings for children if caregivers have concerns about their development. Our Story

The Boutwell Early Childhood Center is public preschool program in the Groton Dunstable Regional School District. We are an integrated preschool, meaning that we serve children with and without disabilities living in Groton and Dunstable. Boutwell students are supported by a highly qualified staff made up of teachers certified by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, related service professionals, and skilled paraprofessionals. All teachers and service providers have completed a minimum of a Master’s degree in early childhood, special education, or their area of specialty. Boutwell staff includes: Registered Nurse, Speech/Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, and BCBA.
