Andre Jamal Vaughan, 37 of New London, died unexpectedly Saturday December 16, 2023, at his residence. Andre was born March 6, 1986, in New London, the son of Melanie Vaughan McKinnon. Andre’ Jamal Vaughan, 37 of New London, died unexpectedly Saturday December 16, 2023, at his residence. Andre’ was born March 6, 1986, in New London, the son of Melanie Vaughan McKinnon.

Andre’ graduated from Grasso Tech in Groton and was a cook in several area restaurants.

Besides his mother Melanie, he is survived by sons Elijah Vaughan and Omari Vaughan, daughter Elani Vaughan, grandparents Wade and Jessie Hyslop, stepfather Kevin McKinnon Sr., brothers Kevin McKinnon Jr. and Kyle McKinnon, sister Monica Marshall.

Visitation will be Wednesday December 27, 2023, from 10:00am to the 11:00am Funeral Service at Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington Street in New London. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
