The Grove City Police Department would like to extend a sincere thank you to the individuals and businesses whose generous financial contributions helped make this year's Bicycle Rodeo a success.
A special thank you to Lee and Michele McCracken, Amelia McFadden, along with Walmart, Gear Bicycle Sales, Capture The Roam, Hall Industries Inc., Davevic Benefit Consultants, Grove City Area Federal Credit Union, Cashdollar and Associates, and Valvoline Express Care for their support of this community event. We would also like to thank Superior Ambulance Service & Education Institute. Grove City, Pennsylvania for their contribution of helmets and EMS personnel for the duration of the event. We encourage those who enjoyed our bicycle rodeo to reach out and thank those who supported our event.
Events like our Bicycle Rodeo are only possible because of the generosity of local community members and local businesses who invest in the safety and well-being of our children. Your contributions helped provide a fun, educational experience for the families who attended, and we are grateful for your partnership and commitment to our community.
Thank you for helping us make a positive impact—one child, one bicycle, and one safe ride at a time! 🚲💙👮‍♂️

GCPD would like to highlight the generosity and thoughtfulness demonstrated by one of our community members. 💜

After learning about our upcoming bicycle rodeo, Amelia decided to donate two bicycles and accompanying helmets to be given away to children attending the event. Her kindness and willingness to help others is a benchmark of community spirit.

Thank you, Amelia, for helping to make this year’s bicycle rodeo even more special!

*******SCAM ALERT******

The Grove City Police Department wants everyone to be aware of a scam that has occurred utilizing the Grove City Police Department phone number and information. It was reported to police that on Wednesday May 20th someone from the "Federal Trade Commission" contacted the victim and claimed the victim was involved in a trade violation and fraudulent activity. They claimed the victim had a warrant and fines and needed to pay them in cash. When the victim questioned if it was a scam, the scammer claimed they would have "Grove City Police Chief Michael Allias" call them. A call was then made to the victim using the Grove City Police Department phone number of 724-458-7925, and a man claiming to be Chief Allias. They told the victim it was not a scam and to send the cash to California. We want everyone to be cautious and alert of this scam.

As a reminder here are a few things to be aware of that are most definite signs of a scam:

No Government agency will request payment be sent via cash through the mail.

No business entity or Government agency will request money be sent though gift cards or money transfer.

No one should ever need access to your phone or computer.

Here are steps you can take if you suspect a scam, but aren't sure:

Contact your local police agency and speak with an officer directly. Do not have the suspected scammer make the call for you.

Talk with friends or family and share what you are going through; time is on your side.

Speak with your local bank and share your concerns with them.
