Superior Ambulance Service which covers parts of Mercer, Butler, Venango, and Lawrence Counties in Pennsylvania in collaboration with the Community Blood Bank is carrying two units of blood in Squad 151. Superior Ambulance is a member of the National Trauma Society PA Division and the Pre- Hospital Blood Coalition. There is great benefit for pre-hospital blood administration to those suffering from blood loss in the field.....by having blood available immediately will increase survival for trauma or critical medical patients. We want to thank everyone who has worked to make this service available to our communities.

Last evening the Stoneboro Fair provided an opportunity for the area first responders to come together and do some education on the fair grounds. We went over the emergency plans and had open conversation about various topics associated with the upcoming fair that starts on Wednesday Sept 2nd and ends on Labor Day. Thank you to Stoneboro VFD, Jackson Center VFD for providing ladder trucks and to everyone that gave up their evening to attend. We have a great group of providers in EMS & Fire in our area that work well together!

Today we had the honor of teaching Hands Only CPR and STOP the Bleed to the new staff at Grove City School District. Over the last two weeks we also spent time with Grove City College Security and the new RAs. It has been a busy two weeks getting people prepared for the start of classes and we pray no one needs to use their training. Thank you to all those that participated.

Be part of saving a life!

Across the country, blood centers are experiencing one of the most difficult summers in recent years, and Community Blood Bank is seeing those same challenges here at home.

Summer is traditionally a time when blood donations decline as schools are out of session and daily routines change. At the same time, the need for blood often increases. Unlike many medical products, blood cannot be manufactured. It must be continuously replenished by volunteer donors, meaning today's donation could help save a life tomorrow.

Community Blood Bank is urging all eligible donors to make an appointment or stop in as a walk-in as soon as they are able.

Now that we have your attention.....Superior Ambulance Service has current positions available as we expand services. This is an opportunity to work and expand your EMS knowledge as a team player. We offer flexible scheduling, company paid benefits, and the opportunity to continue your education.

We have full & part time EMT and AEMT positions. Must be 18 years of age, clear driving record, and have a valid EMT certification.

We also have 1 part time wheel chair van operator position that has potential for full time.
