In honor of National Firearm Safety - Gun Violence Awareness Month, the Groveland Police Department has partnered with Project ChildSafe to promote responsible gun ownership and child safety.

FREE cable gun locks are available at the Groveland Police Department, in the lobby, Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. One per person while supplies last.

For more information on securing your firearm and talking about gun safety with your kids, please visit

Great news, Groveland! Empire Church Road is now back open to traffic after being temporarily closed due to a sinkhole discovered between Bear Lake Road and Edgehill Drive.

On Saturday, Sgt. Jarrell and Lt. Ricci represented the Groveland Police Department at the annual Back the Blue and Red Walk alongside agencies from across Lake County Sheriff's Office. During the event, Devarjaye “DJ” Daniel was sworn in as an honorary officer, continuing his inspiring journey as a young cancer warrior chasing his dream of serving in law enforcement. ❤️💙
