October 1st through the 7th is the 9th Annual Ohio Stormwater Awareness Week.

Rainwater runs off roofs, driveways, streets, and lawns—carrying soil, leaves, lawn chemicals, litter, and other pollutants into storm drains and eventually into our streams, rivers, and lakes.

💧 This week, help protect Ohio’s water by:

🗑️ Keeping litter and debris out of storm drains

🌿 Using lawn fertilizer and other chemicals responsibly

🍂 Keeping leaves and grass clippings off streets and sidewalks

🌧️ Planting rain gardens or using other ways to slow and absorb runoff

🚗 Washing vehicles where wastewater can be properly managed

Small actions add up. Together, we can reduce stormwater pollution and help keep Ohio’s waterways clean and healthy.

Brobst Park will be closed again today, September 22nd. The weather did not cooperate yesterday, and our crew was unable to complete the needed maintenance. The park will reopen tomorrow, September 23rd, at 8 am. We appreciate your understanding.

Brobst Park will be closed to the public on Monday, September 21, so we can complete the finishing touches on our parking lot and walking path improvements, along with some tree trimming.

The closure is necessary to provide a safe environment for the public and our maintenance crew while the work is being performed.

The park will reopen on Tuesday, September 22nd at 8:00 am.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
