Structure Fire – Woodlake Area

At approximately 1:22 a.m. this morning, the Groveton Volunteer Fire Department was paged to a reported structure fire in the Woodlake area.

Firefighters responded promptly and found two RVs fully involved upon arrival. Despite their efforts, both RVs were a total loss.

We would like to thank all responding personnel for their dedication and service during the overnight hours. As always, we appreciate the continued support of our community.

Mutual Aid Response

During the overnight hours, the Groveton Volunteer Fire Department responded as mutual aid to the Pennington Fire Dept area to assist with a residential structure fire. We were honored to work alongside our neighboring departments in protecting lives and property.

We appreciate the dedication of all responders who answered the call during the night and are thankful for the continued teamwork between our local fire departments.

We had such a great time at our last fish fry we decided to have a second one!!

Come out and support our department this Sunday and enjoy a plate of fish. We will be serving from 11am-3pm at the Pennington Community Center. Look forward to seeing you there.

The Groveton Volunteer Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire on Divine Street. Firefighters arrived on scene and worked quickly to bring the fire under control.

This afternoon, the Groveton Volunteer Fire Department responded as mutual aid to a grass fire in the Pennington area. Firefighters from Pennington VFD, Friday VFD, and Groveton VFD worked together to contain and extinguish the fire.

We appreciate the teamwork and cooperation between departments that help protect our communities when emergencies arise. Thank you to all of the firefighters who responded and dedicated their time and effort to keeping our citizens safe.
