Huge congratulations to our very own ASD teacher, Mrs. VanBrackle, for receiving the Golden Apple Award today!

Brad Means from WJBF News Channel 6 stopped by to present her with the award after she was nominated by one of her student's parents for being an extraordinary teacher who goes above and beyond every single day. We are so proud of her and so thankful for everything she does for our students and community!

It’s National School Lunch Week, and our cafeteria is officially the Greatest Show on Earth! 🎪

This week, we’re celebrating our Cafeteria Circus theme, but the real ringmasters of the show are working hard behind the counter every single day. A massive shoutout and heartfelt THANK YOU to our amazing cafeteria ladies!

These absolute superstars pull off incredible feats daily:
🤹‍♀️ Juggling hundreds of warm meals, fresh fruits, and veggies with total ease.
🦁 Taming the wildest lunchroom rushes with patience and a bright smile.
🎟️ Serving up wholesome energy and kindness to keep our students fueled and ready to learn.

They make balancing hard work, great nutrition, and big smiles look like magic. We are beyond grateful for everything you do to make our school day bright and full! ❤️

What a HUGE day in Kindergarten yesterday!

Our little learners rolled back the clock to celebrate the 50th Day of School in full 1950s style—poodle skirts, leather jackets, and all! 🎸

To cap off an already exciting day, Columbia County Fire Rescue paid us a visit for Fire Safety Week! The students learned essential fire safety tips, met local firefighters, and got an up-close look at the fire truck. 🚒

Thank you to Columbia County Fire Rescue for taking the time to teach our kids how to stay safe and making the day so memorable!

What a fantastic week celebrating Georgia Pre-K Week at Baker Place Elementary! Our Pre-K classrooms were filled with excitement, stories, and smiles as special guest readers joined us throughout the week to share their love of reading with our youngest learners.

A big thank you to all the wonderful guest readers who visited our classrooms: Mrs. Sallee; Mr. Prouty, Principal of Baker Place Elementary; Katie Allen, District 4 Board Member; Donna Mickens, Georgia Power; Matthew Padgett, Columbia County Judge; and Mrs. Dye, Assistant Principal of Baker Place Elementary.

Thank you to everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to make Georgia Pre-K Week so memorable for our students!

Happy Instructional Specialist Appreciation Day to our very own, Mrs. Turner!

Mrs. Turner does an incredible job, each day, working to support, encourage, and empower our teachers and students! She is hands-on, helpful, and always willing to problem solve to find the best ways to support our students!

Mrs. Turner wears so many hats in her role as the Instructional Specialist, and we absolutely could not do the work that we do each day without her!

Thank you, Mrs. Turner, for all you do! We appreciate you!

What an incredible morning! A little mud couldn't slow down our Pre-K through 3rd grade Eagles—they brought ALL the energy, smiles, and laps to the track today!

A massive THANK YOU to all of the amazing parents and family members who came out to cheer on our runners and make the morning so special. Your support made today unforgettable!

THE BIG NEWS: Not only did we reach our $30,000 goal for our new playground shade and outdoor classroom... WE SMASHED IT! Thanks to your overwhelming generosity, our school family has officially raised over $34,000!

Get ready, 4th and 5th grade—the Color Run is coming up next this afternoon!

Thank you for making this Boosterthon our most successful one yet, Baker Place!
