No cause for alarm. It appears that radio interference triggered the tornado sirens briefly. Fortunately, dispatch was able to deactivate them promptly.

The Grundy Center Fire Department is selling raffle tickets for a chance to win this beautiful quilt. Tickets are $5 a piece or 5 for $20. To obtain tickets, please contact your favorite local firefighter, who will provide you with the as many tickets as you desire. Alternatively, you may send a message to our page, and we will arrange for you to get some tickets. We appreciate your support.

Thank you Anheuser-Busch and National Volunteer Fire Council for the generous donation of emergency drinking water, and to
Doll Distributing - Des Moines for delivering it to our fire station! This water will help keep our firefighters hydrated
during fires and extended responses in extreme heat.
The donation is provided through Anheuser-Busch’s Emergency Drinking Water for Wildland Firefighters
program, which supports volunteer departments with critical hydration resources during wildfire season.

We are so greatful that the Grundy County Community Foundation awarded us grant money for replacing our fire helmets as they are aging out and needing replaced.
