❤️⚡ National CPR & AED Awareness Week is here!

From June 1–7, we recognize the importance of learning lifesaving skills that can make all the difference during a medical emergency.

When cardiac arrest strikes, every second matters. Knowing how to perform CPR and use an AED can help keep blood flowing and increase the chances of survival until professional responders arrive.

You don't have to be a healthcare professional to save a life—you just have to be prepared.

Take the time to learn CPR and AED use. One day, someone may be counting on you.

Today, we pause to remember the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to our country. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend, it’s a reminder that freedom came at a price paid by brave Americans who never made it home.

Let us never forget those who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy every day. We honor their sacrifice, remember their names, and keep their families in our prayers today and always.

From all of us at Grundy Fire, thank you 🇺🇸

We’ve received questions about our fundraising and what it benefits, and honestly that means we haven’t done a good enough job showing the community where that support goes.

Recently, we were able to use fundraising money to replace our outdated vehicle extrication air bags after our old set failed on a call due to age. The bags we replaced had a manufacturing date of 1978. Through fundraising efforts, we purchased a new 50-ton extrication bag set at a cost of $6,400.

This past Thursday, we received the new equipment and immediately put it into service by training with it the same day. Along with familiarizing members with the new bags, we also took the opportunity to sharpen our extrication skills with some of our younger firefighters who haven’t had as much hands-on time with the equipment.

Every fundraiser and donation event helps us improve our equipment, training, and response capabilities so we can better serve our community when emergencies happen.

Great BIG thank you to Griffey Towing & Salvage for supplying the car for our Thursday training
