*SUPERINTENDENT*

Grygla School is seeking a collaborative, student-focused leader to serve as our next Superintendent. This is an exciting opportunity to guide the district’s vision, support strong academic outcomes, and build meaningful connections with students, staff, and the community.

Key Qualifications:
• Proven leadership experience
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Knowledge of school finance, operations, and curriculum
• Commitment to student success, community engagement, and transparency
• Experience in school administration preferred

Candidates must hold a Minnesota Superintendent License (or have the ability to obtain one).

Announcement from Superintendent Gieseke:

Dear Grygla Community Members,

After much thought and discussion with my family members and school board, I would like to communicate to you all that I have accepted the superintendent position at Fosston Public Schools and will be leaving Grygla Public School effective July 1, 2026.

This decision was not easy, as Grygla has been more than just a workplace for my family and me, it has truly been home. I am incredibly grateful for the relationships, memories, and experiences we have shared together over the years.

It has been an honor to serve this district, work alongside such dedicated staff, and watch our students grow and succeed. I am especially thankful that my own children had the opportunity to attend Grygla Public School and be part of this amazing community.

Thank you to the Grygla community for your support, kindness, and trust throughout my time here. Grygla will always hold a special place in my heart.

The last two days of school have been fun filled. We had an End of the year Parade yesterday. Today everyone was split up into different groups and they spent the morning doing several different activities. There was a scavenger hunt, walk in the hike trail, four square, baseball, sidewalk chalk drawing and even a little petting zoo! Thank you to Kurt and Cherie Sigerud for bringing the petting zoo!

We ended the day with a picnic! Mr Gieseke and Mr. Mumm didn't grilling.

Thank you to everyone for an another wonderful year. Have a great summer and see you next fall!!
