at last night's Regular Council Meeting, the Town of Guadalupe's Mayor and Council proudly proclaimed August 2026 as Child Support Awareness Month.

This proclamation recognizes the important role child support plays in ensuring children have the financial and emotional support they need to thrive. It also highlights the commitment of parents, families, and community partners who work together to promote the well-being of children.

The Town of Guadalupe is proud to support efforts that strengthen families and raise awareness about the importance of child support in building brighter futures for our children.

The Town Hall and Guadalupe Senior Center are currently experiencing an outage affecting our phones and Wi-Fi services.

At this time, we are unable to receive phone calls or access online services. Our service provider is working to restore service, and the current estimated time of restoration is 11:00 a.m.

Please note: The Guadalupe Community Action Program (CAP) food distribution is not impacted and will continue as scheduled. Although the Town hall's phone and Wi-Fi services are currently unavailable, this does not affect today's food distribution.

Biehn Colony Park Reconstruction Project is getting started!

Congresswoman Yassmin Ansari met with Town of Guadalupe and Pascua Yaqui Tribe leaders to celebrate the $2 million FY 2026 Economic Development Initiative – Community Project Funding (EDI-CPF) grant through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the Biehn Colony Park Reconstruction Project!

Through Congresswoman Ansari’s leadership, the Town of Guadalupe earned the $2M grant award for Biehn Colony Park Reconstruction in March 2026. These federal funds are now available, allowing the project to move forward.

This award is the result of the Town of Guadalupe’s April 2025 grant application submittal to Congresswoman Ansari, then to HUD. This 2025 grant submittal included community partner support, with letters of support from Mayor Valerie Molina and the Guadalupe Town Council, the Guadalupe Community Development Corporation (GCDC), Salt River Project (SRP), and the City of Tempe.

Biehn Colony Park Reconstruction Project design is anticipated to start in August 2026, with construction anticipated in July 2027.

We are grateful for the support of Congresswoman Ansari and all partners who helped advance this important project for Guadalupe.
