Planning a day on the water at Guernsey?

Here's the latest boating access update for Guernsey Reservoir:

🚤 Water levels are expected to remain sufficient for boating through the weekend of Aug. 9.
✅ As of July 31, all boat docks have been placed in the water, and all boat ramps are accessible.
⚠️ Water levels are expected to begin decreasing on Aug. 9.
⚠️ From Aug. 10–15, boaters should use caution as water levels continue to decline.
📍Boat ramp accessibility may become limited by the weekend of Aug. 15, depending on water levels.

Water levels and boating access are subject to change. Please contact Guernsey State Park for the most current conditions before your visit.

7/29/2026 Update
🌊Water levels are up and all boat ramps are accessible, boat docks are still not available, please check back.
🚤 Water levels will start decreasing on August 9th.
⚠️ Boaters should use caution when on the water the week of August 10-14th. Boat ramps might not be available the weekend of August 15th. This will end the season for boating access.
🛶 Bring your kayaks, SUP's and floaties to still enjoy the water.
😊Museum is open 7 days a week 9am-5pm until Sept 30.

The Guernsey Reservoir Silt Run Has Started! 🚤🌊

Motorized boating is taking a break as water levels drop, but our site remains wide open for hiking, paddleboarding, kayaking, biking, and exploring. Grab your boots, the Castle, CCC Museum, and trails are waiting for you!

Important Dates:

🚫 July 8: Boat ramps close to motorized watercraft.
💧 July 11–24: The Silt Run is active. Expect low water & rapid river flows downstream.
📈 July 24: Water levels start rising back up.

⚠️ An active harmful cyanobacteria (HCB) advisory remains in place. Keep yourself, pets, and livestock out of green water, floating scums or clumps. If contact occurs: rinse with clean water immediately and contact a doctor or veterinarian if symptoms develop.
