Thank you to members of our community! Together we collected a total of 366 pounds of unwanted and unused medications during our National Drug Take Back Day.
We appreciate you all for helping keep the community safe!
Our next Drug Take Back Day will take place in April of 2027.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Saturday, October 24 – Events at Guilderland Central High School

Please be advised that two events will take place at Guilderland Central High School on Saturday, October 24:
Big Truck Day and the Summer Smith 5K.

Big Truck Day attendees: Please park in the East Drive parking lot, next to the event, which will be held in the bus loop parking lot.

Summer Smith 5K attendees: Please park in the West Drive parking lot on the Depot side of the school.

Traffic Advisory: Motorists are asked to use caution and watch for 5K participants in the area of Meadowdale Road.

Thank you for your cooperation and for helping ensure a safe and successful day for everyone!

The Guilderland Police Department will be participating in DEA National Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, October 24th, from
10:00 AM–2:00 PM.

📍 Guilderland Public Library – Auxiliary Parking Lot
2228 Western Avenue, Guilderland

Help keep our community safe by properly disposing of unwanted or expired medications.

Please follow these guidelines:

• If possible, please bag your medications before arriving.
• Place your bagged medications somewhere easily accessible while remaining in your vehicle, or place them in your trunk so an officer can safely retrieve them.
• 🚫 NO SHARPS OR SYRINGES
• Please follow the officer’s instructions when arriving and during the drop-off process.

This morning, Guilderland Police were greeted at the station by Vincenza, who arrived with a sweet surprise for our officers, donuts!
Thank you for your kindness and support of our department. Vincenza clearly knows that the quickest way to motivate a police officer!
