Driven by purpose and opportunities, Beyond Abilities LLC offers individualized supports through residential and community-based services to people with physical and developmental disabilities.
We are looking for a caring and compassionate individual to join our growing team. The ideal candidate for this job will be highly dependable, enthusiastic, professional, and have a passion for helping those with intellectual and/or physical disabilities live a more fulfilled and happy life.
Direct Support Professional (DSP) Job Responsibilities: The Direct Support Professional (DSP) will assist with and work to strengthen the individual's many daily living needs including, but not limited to: nutrition, hygiene, exercise, communication and socialization skills. The DSP will assist with completing household responsibilities, such as: cleaning, tidying up, doing laundry, folding clothes, etc. The DSP will develop meaningful relationships and connections with consumers to ensure they feel cared for and included at home and in the community to enhance their quality of life.
The DSP will communicate routinely with our leadership to ensure support staff are maintaining a high service standard with our consumers. The DSP will maintain detailed notes documenting all interaction and activities with each individual you support and will transport individuals to and from work, activities, appointments, etc.
Job Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old
High School Diploma/GED
Must be able to pass criminal / registry background screening
24 hour shifts -- Rotating 3 days on, 4 days off
License/Certification: Training to complete LIMA and CPR/First Aid requirements will be provided by Beyond Abilities at time of hire.
Driver's License (Preferred)
CPR/First Aid Certification (Required)
LIMA Certification (Required)
