Protect Guilford Schools supporters:
As the campaign is behind us we will no longer be posting on this page but wanted to update you on the next phase. Thank you again for your incredible energy in making PGS the tremendous success that it was and electing all five amazing candidates.
Kristy Faulkner, Noel Petra, and Jennifer Baldwin were unaffiliated voters who were endorsed by, and ran on, the Independent Party line. The way that they were nominated cannot be repeated in the future because they received so many votes. Nominations by the Independent Party must now be made by a local Independent Party committee under party rules. Following on from the election, a group of PGS supporters came together to fill a need in the community and formed Independent Guilford, a local party that will help protect what you accomplished, and specifically to create an Independent Town Committee in Guilford to allow for future nominations. Kristy, Noel, and Jennifer have changed their affiliation to Independent. You can learn more about this effort, why it is important, and how to help by visiting www.independentguilford.com.
