Guilford Republicans Monthly RTC Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at the Guilford Community Center

The following are goals of the Guilford Republican Town Committee as stated in our By-Laws:

To study and recommend improvements in the form of local government;
To study and recommend plans for the improvement of the community;
To study and support (or oppose) state legislation concerning Guilford;
To sponsor and encourage constructive party activities;
To encourage able and q

ualified republicans to run for office;
To conduct caucuses of republican electors;
To organize and direct election campaigns;
To elect republicans to office;
To recommend able and qualified republicans for appointive offices;
To raise and administer party funds in Guilford. Guilford Community Television shows prerecorded videos of many of the Town's public meetings on channel 20. Regular Board of Selectmen, Board of Finance, and Planning & Zoning meetings are generally on channel 20, while Board of Education meetings are on 19. Schedules and notices of upcoming events appear between programs, but you can email GCTV or call 453-8453 for specific information.

Board of Education Chair Kathleen Balestracci said she has heard a concern that Guilford Public Schools is administration-heavy. There are 21 administrators to 3,000 students – 143 students per administrator, which is a lower ratio than 80% of district and lower than 60% of the A&B districts. The number of administrators hasn’t increased in 13 years." (Source:Minutes BOF meeting 5/26/2026)

Question : Why hasn't the number of administrators decreased over the last 10 years? The student population has decreased by 382 over the last 10 years and is projected to decrease by a total of 408 by the 2026- 2027 school year. (Source: GPS)
