Town Budget Meeting Results:
Sufficient voters were in attendance for a motion to be made to reduce the Board of Education budget by $2 million. The motion failed as only 61 voters were in favor.

Make your plan now to VOTE YES on Tuesday, 6/16. All polling locations open 6 am to 8 pm, and absentee ballots will be available at Town Hall this week.

✅ Here is a straight-forward timeline of how our budget has evolved over the referendum process. The fact is, the latest proposed budget, after $2.2 million in cuts, represents a 2.73% mill rate (tax) increase. This under both the 3.9% rate of inflation and the 2.8% Cost of Living Adjustment.

At their special meeting tonight, The Board of Education further revised their budget by -$525,000 through the following reductions. These cuts do not represent any lay-offs, avoid reductions that could have potentially increased class sizes, and have the least impact on students. Vote YES on June 16 to fund our schools!
