The Guilford Animal Shelter works with the Guilford Police Department to help maintain a safe and comfortable living environment for all our residents.

The Guilford Police Animal Shelter has scheduled hours. Call 203-453-8083 for questions or concerns. Please note that our officers may not be at the shelter at all times we are open. They often have to respond to calls in the community.

Good news for anyone who missed out the first time, Denny is available for adoption again! 🐕🐕

This handsome, 4-year-old pup recently spent some time in a home setting and reminded us what a great companion he can be. He’s super playful, enjoys getting treats and pets, and loves rides in the car.

Denny is energetic and will need obedience training for pulling and jumping, but is otherwise a real good boy! Due to his size and energy, he would be best in a household with children over 10-years-old. He’s neutered and up-to-date on all his vaccinations, and the adoption fee is only $5.00.

Sometimes adoptions don't work out for reasons unrelated to the pet, and in those cases our goal is always to find the best long-term match. We remain confident that Denny will make a wonderful addition to the right family!

Denny’s previous owner unfortunately had to surrender him due to a housing situation, and now he’s patiently waiting for his new family to adopt him.

Denny is a 4 year old pup who loves toys and people. As you can see here, he’s super playful and enjoys getting treats and pets from Social Worker Regan!

He is energetic and will need obedience training to learn the basics. Due to his size and energy, he would be best in a household with children over 10 years old. He’s neutered and up-to-date on all his vaccinations, and the adoption fee is only $5.00.
