The men and women of the Gulf Shores Police Association are dedicated to your safety, and to contributing to the quality of life of those who live and work in our city What We Do:

-Create public interest in the Gulf Shores Police Department and its personnel
-Promote increased knowledge of the Police Department and its services through various outreach programs
-Foster greater public support for

the Police Department and its personnel
-Promote social fellowship and economic well-being among the membership
-Instilling in the members’ the spirit of cooperation and the high regard of our calling – the police profession

Year in and year out this community continues to prove why this city is a wonderful place to live. With the continued support of this community, and the donations that are received, we are able to provide unforgettable experiences each year.

This year the Gulf Shores Shop With a Cop provided 10 local children with wonderful memories.

Each child was partnered with Gulf Shores Police Officers and volunteers to shop for their families. Afterwards the children were brought to the department to wrap the gifts and prepare them to delivered on Christmas Day!

So many thanks go into running this event, but a huge shout goes to Walmart of Gulf Shores for their continued support and assistance with this community outreach.

The Gulf Shores Police Association proudly announces we were fortunate enough to send two of our members to represent our agency, and community in The Law Enforcement United Road to Hope bike ride. The ride went from Chesapeake, VA to Washington, DC , May 10th – 12th 2022, to kick off National Police Week.

The ride consisted of over 400 riders and covered 250 miles. Detective Carl Wittstruck and Operations Support Specialist Don Fuller provided security es**rt for the riders as they made stops along the route to read survivor stories to various first responders and schools. Through this and other similar rides taking place simultaneously, Law Enforcement United was able to raise over $500,000 for various charities including the Officer Down Memorial Page, The Spirit of Blue, and Cops Kids camp. All of these donations will be used to support fallen officer’s families and provide lifesaving equipment to officers. We are truly humbled that two of our own participated in this noble cause.

Correctional officers play a vital role in the criminal justice system.

2021 marked the first time the Gulf Shores Police Association hosted a golf tournament fundraiser. It was our goal to raise money to support the needs of our members and most importantly give back to the community with events like Shop with a Cop.

For our first year we had 35 teams with over 140 participants and approximately 30 business sponsor/donate towards our fundraising event. With the generous contributions the event was able to raise over $11,000. We expect this fun filled event to continue its growth and turnout for 2022.

Shop With a Cop 2021!

Gulf Shores Police joined with 10 local children to shop for their family members. Each year we partner with Walmart to assist with providing families with a joyful Christmas. We are thankful for the continued support we receive from our locals and visitors who enjoy this event and donate towards the cause.

This year each child partnered with members of the Gulf Shores Police Department to shop for their family members. Afterwards they put their wrapping skills to the test and enjoyed some food. The presents were delivered to their Christmas tree to await Christmas morning. On Christmas morning Gulf Shores officers delivered presents to the 10 children as a special surprise.
