-- In early April 1945, just days after the start of the Battle of Okinawa, U.S. Navy Seabees were already on the ground—building the infrastructure needed to sustain the fight.

Working under dangerous conditions, Seabees constructed airfields, roads, and supply bases that allowed Allied forces to maintain momentum during one of World War II’s most critical campaigns.

Using heavy equipment like the bulldozer shown here, they transformed rugged terrain into operational runways in a matter of days—ensuring continuous air support and logistics for troops on the front lines.

Their speed, skill, and determination helped turn Okinawa into a vital base for the final push toward victory in the Pacific.

🐝 Because in the face of any challenge… Seabees “Can Do.”
