Seabees!
As our Nation commemorates the 250th birthday of the United States, I want to take a moment to reflect on what this milestone means and to recognize the tremendous service and sacrifice that have made 250 years of American freedom possible.
Since our Nation’s founding, generations of Americans have answered the call to serve, defending our Constitution, our freedoms, and our way of life. We honor those who came before us, those who wear the uniform today, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness are the foundation upon which this great Nation stands.
As Seabees, we carry forward a proud tradition of service. For more than eight decades, Seabees have lived the motto, "Can Do," building and fighting wherever our Nation has needed us. Whether constructing critical infrastructure, supporting contingency operations, responding to disasters, or strengthening partnerships around the world, Seabees have consistently demonstrated professionalism, ingenuity, and unwavering commitment to mission accomplishment.
I could not be more proud of this battalion and everything you accomplish. Every project completed, every challenge overcome, and every hour spent in support of our mission contributes to the readiness and security of our Nation. The work you do leaves a lasting impact—not only on the Navy and Joint Force, but on the communities and people we serve.
As we celebrate this historic anniversary, take pride in being part of a legacy that stretches from the founding of our Nation to the service you provide today. Your dedication reflects the very best of the Navy, the Seabee community, and the United States of America.
Thank you for your service, your professionalism, and your commitment to your fellow Seabees and our Nation.
I wish you and your families a safe and enjoyable Independence Day as we celebrate 250 years of American freedom and the enduring spirit of service that has made it possible. Hug your families and thank them for their shared sacrifice - I appreciate them and you!
Can Do!
Respectfully,
