R-13 πŸš’πŸš¨responded to mutual aid with Harrison County for a residential house fire.

HCFS was on scene and had most of the πŸ”₯ fire extinguished πŸ’¦ by the time we arrived. R-13 was assigned to pull ceiling in the master bedroom for fire in the attic. R-13 was able to put out a few hot spots in the attic area over two bedrooms.

This is what we train for in the events of emergencies. Good work to all involved with completing this task. πŸ§‘β€πŸš’πŸš¨

It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of retired CRTC Assistant Chief, Rusty Shoultz.

Assistant Chief Shoultz was a dedicated leader, mentor, and friend to many within our department and throughout the community. His impact within the fire service was unmatched. He served in many roles and gave his time, knowledge, and experience to all. He led by example, never hesitating to step in and do the work alongside those he guided.

His legacy will live on through the countless individuals he influenced, not only in the fire service and EMS, but also in healthcare, law enforcement, and beyond.

The photos below show just a small part of the journey we were privileged to share with him and the lasting foundation he helped build for future generations.

We extend our deepest gratitude for his service and commitment. Rest in peace, Assistant Chief Shoultz. You will never be forgotten.
