✨ YOUNG PHILANTHROPIST COHORT SPOTLIGHT | CLASS OF 2027
📣 In the spotlight today is Hillary Allen!
For Hillary, compassion isn't just something you feel. It's something you put into action, especially when someone is facing a difficult time and isn't sure where to turn.
As community outreach coordinator with Mercy Housing & Human Development and coalition coordinator for Safe Kids Gulf Coast, Hillary works to connect individuals and families with resources, education, and support that can make a real difference in their lives.
She's especially passionate about child safety and injury prevention. As a certified child passenger safety instructor, she helps caregivers learn how to properly use car seats and keep their children safe on the road.
Hillary is also an Intervention Court graduate, and that experience has given her a deeper understanding of the importance of having people and programs in your corner when life gets difficult. It's also strengthened her desire to help others see their own potential and the possibilities ahead of them.
Through the Young Philanthropist Cohort, Hillary hopes to grow as a community leader, deepen her understanding of philanthropy and nonprofit governance, and develop the skills to make an even greater impact. She says, “Whether through outreach, advocacy, education, or connecting families to resources, I believe meaningful community involvement starts with compassion, meeting people where they are, and helping them take steps toward a better future.”
