We were pleased to host leaders from Japan’s shipbuilding industry this week, in partnership with the Mississippi Development Authority, the Port of Gulfport, Jackson County Economic Development Foundation, and Port Pascagoula.

During their visit, we showcased our region through tours of the Port of Gulfport and Gulf Ship, highlighting the strengths of our county and the many opportunities that make Coastal Mississippi an attractive destination for maritime investment.

Welcoming leading Japanese shipbuilders to Mississippi marks an exciting step forward in strengthening international relationships and advancing long-term economic growth.

More to come.
