On May 5, 2026, at approximately 5:30 AM, a black Apple iPad was reported stolen from Casey’s gas station.

The Gun Barrel City Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run incident that occurred on April 24, 2026, at approximately 4:02pm on E. Texas Road, near the rear side of Break Time gas station.

The vehicle depicted in the photos is believed to be involved. We are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the vehicle and/or the male subject shown.

April 4, 2026
Stolen 18-Wheeler Pursuit Ends in Arrest with Multi-Agency Assistance

On April 4, 2026, at approximately 3:27 PM, officers were dispatched to an address behind Burger King in reference to a stolen 18-wheeler that was reported to still be running.
Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle and made contact with a male subject inside the cab. An officer was able to remove the keys from the ignition in an attempt to prevent the vehicle from leaving the scene; however, it was determined the vehicle had been hot-wired. The suspect then fled, and officers initiated a pursuit.
The pursuit continued into Van Zandt County and came to a stop in the area of VZCR 2514 and VZCR 2517.
With the assistance of multiple agencies from Kaufman and Van Zandt Counties, officers were able to safely take both a male and female subject into custody without further incident.
This remains an active investigation. No additional details are being released at this time.
